MowingMowing is the most misunderstood part of lawn care, and the most often incorrectly performed part of lawn care. Far too many people set their lawn mowers too low and scalp the lawn. This leads to a brown/yellow look to the lawn and a poor root system, promoting poor lawn health. “Wow I come home, the lawns look great and I can enjoy my time with the family in the weekend. Well worth the $25 to have family time” “Jason is a friendly and reliable and takes pride in his work” |

Mulching
What is mulch mowing? Mulch mowing cuts each blade of grass several times, these tiny pieces of grass are returned to the soid as a source of ongoing fertilisation. Mulching reduces the need for fertlising plus is better for the environment by not dumping grass clippings in a dump site. Why not try a mulch mow today and decide whether this is for you? You will be pleasantly surprised with the results.
“I did not know how good a mulched lawn could look”
Lawn Watering
It’s best to water your lawn to encourage deep root growth. A lawn needs a good soak of water approximately 25mm of water per session. You can achieve this by placing a cup or bowl to see how long it takes to collect 25mm of water. Dependent upon equipment this may take up to 1-2 hours. Do this twice a week and early morning is best before the sun comes out and evaporates all the water. A sprinkler system will get great coverage.
Fertilising
For fast effective results when fertilising apply before or during rain or make sure to water the lawn well after application. A well fertilised lawn will require less spraying as an actively growing grass will compete against weeds.
